I had the same issue and was able to use some fine
sand paper to stop the leak.  Then the whole nipple
head cracked about 300 miles later and I had fuel
everywhere, running on 3 cylinders to get to a parking
lot.  I now keep a full set of extra lines in the car.
After 20 + years the metal gets brittle.
