[Vwdiesel] NA exhaust valves for a TD head?

I am kind of OLD  (73)  for a student ----- I feel like I will never grow up ?
BUT I always scored high on maturity testing.

So how do I learn ?     -----I listen and read and experiment. ----yeah I survided a LOT of explotions and
fires and    --- getting smacked in the kisser  twice.

Not being a Mechanic   when I go to a repair shop ---my eyes are like a Radar and my Brain like a sponge.

So one nice summers day I walsed in to the Aircraft Engine Shop , in Sandy Cameron land ---at
Carp Airport Ont.   ------On the table was a cylinderhead upside down  ----off a 12 cylinder
Allison from an old P 38   parked outside.
Well the boss was in the process of grinding valveseats. ----a lot of them in those.
He was grinding away --- but every time he looked at the seat ---it added to the wrinkles on his face.
Finally he said give me a hand putting some pressure on this stone.    And pressure we used but
to absolutely no NO effect.   -----Now stones are color coded  --like white grey  or green   etc.
I think he was using white. --------That was when I learned about  "Stellite" seats.

See James Hansens bit about Stellite.   ----  If you can afford Stellite seats ?  thats the way to go.
