[Vwdiesel] Quantum theory for weird oil pressure?

Made the adaptor, poked the gauge up through the bonnet
[hood for you foreigners ;o]
started her up and it reached about 70psi. Soon dropped down
to about 50 ish.
Drove off and engaged turbo. No drop. 8psi boost and still
no drop (acceleration in third up to 45mph ish)
At full temp and idle; runs at about 15 to 20 psi...  go to
1500 rpm and pressure climbs...go  faster and pressure again
rises to 50+. Turbo had no affect that I could discern.

I again suggest you stall the turbo... Keep it lubed but
remove tube attached to inlet manifold and put a rag into
the vanes on the air filter side..This will show it's not
boost related.
I am now thinking it may be a worn shell that allows more
oil past when under load and twisting crank for instance...

Thanks for getting me to check mine and if I could get you
to persuade me to do a compression test I'd be
grateful...(8OD)
