[Vwdiesel] head bolt spacer

Just was doing some interesting reading on one of the forum's.  One
individual mentioned that spacers might be needed under the head bolts
washers to limit the amount of protrusion of the head bolt from the bottom
of the head. Made sense that if you measure the depth of the head bolt hole
in the block and then the distance the head bolt protrudes from the head you
surely do not want the bolt to be longer than the depth of the hole in the
head. This would also come into play if you have resurfaced the head in the
past.  Any thought on this? I was going to go out and measure mine just to
see.
