[Vwdiesel] Charging Problem

  The most common place for a poor connection is where the red, B+ 
wire connects to the battery terminal.  Sometimes it's the connection, 
sometimes it's the wire to the connector.  
  I'd check your D+(?) wire and connection first.  If your alt light is 
staying on dimly.  If it's just staying on to a higher rpm then usually 
a B+ connection is responsible then.
