Gears my friend.  Gears.  Run all the accessory shit off of the gear

through ports in the gear case cover as well, like a 2 cycle detroit
dsl.
So nice to not have to fret over belts driving stuff, and less power
losses
overall. Very elegant solution IMHO.

...Wouldnt take much to convert; just a few castings and an oil
supply/drain or maybe a good greasing. Would the noise be heard?
