[Vwdiesel] Water separator (?) leak !

My '86 jetta had the water seperator integral to the fuel filter in the 
engine compartment.  My vanagon has a similar water seperator/fuel filter, but 
screws onto a housing like the rabbits and quantums.  As Hayden said, removal of 
the offending item and splicing in of hose would be a good solution.  I would 
make sure that there was a seperator somewhere in the system though.
