And the winner is..  Val!  The original accessory relay (stamped May
1980) has a broken terminal!  Next time you're in Alaska I owe you a
beer for saving me mucho mucho time tracing the wires.

Um, just a question: what are the other accessories?  I didn't notice
anything else not working (I have no rear defrost, no radio, hmmm..)
yes, yes I will look it up, but thanks everyone for being a very helpful
crutch when time is short.
