[Vwdiesel] Water separator(?) leak !

I have one on my 1982 Diesel Rabbit and 1985 Diesel Golf. I live in New
York. Both the fuel filters in the engine compartement have drain taps
as well. I imagine they are on mk3s with 1.6 IDI engines, and probably
TDIs too, because water is terribly corrosive (AIUI) to the injection
pumps.
