[Vwdiesel] Smoke rings from tail pipe?

You may notice on cold starts that 5 seconds or so after starting it it 
starts missing and chug chugging more.  Shut it off and reglow and start.  It will 
greatly diminish the smoke on startup.  It starts sputtering when the glow 
plugs turn off.  On the second time the engine will be hotter.
