Yes Loren it is   ---LOUD   beyond     100 Km/hr  .    No  Royale Braugham  V8 diesel
for sure.

GM   did a masterful job at  silencing the intake and lots of sound insulation. NO way of knowing it was a diesel. --------from inside driving it.

Val Christian  did talk a bit about intake noise on diesels   ---GM put mufflers on the intake.
And it worked.

Time for our Amerikan friends to get in to the SMALL  efficient dieselcars .  Giving big
subsidy to Hummers ?   and not to Rabbits ?   ---plum crazy .   A very small diesel
and  battery electric is a good way right now.   Loren gets electricity for say 5 cents pr
KW/hr ---that makes for economical and non poluting driving.
Notice NOW CO2  has snuck in to polution box ? --IMHO    stupid.   NOX  CFCs  SO2
particles ---yes. Acid Rain ?   go to Sudbury and see what that does. Or the Black
Forest in Germany. -----parts are now the BLEEK  forest-.(Bleak?)

PS :   CO2    is different  IMHO.   USA could reduce CO2 emmisions  fairly painless
right now.    By the way HOW ?  can a power plant get rid of CO2 ? bottle it ?
