[Vwdiesel] Alternator belt-What the ?

I went down to the garage a while ago, and I swear there are only 2 bolts
holding my alternator on (not 3)
though it looks like on the bottom left side, there should be one in there,
where 2 brackets with holes don't quite line up..........I only loosened 2
last night so never dropped any.

I'll have to have another peek at it tomorrow when I am not quite so tired.
Been a full day here today
and I've been up since 4:18am..........YAWN!

BTW, how do you guys see or get to the allen bolts on the main pulley...from
underneath? Through the wheelwell somehow.  Sure isn't a lot of room there.
Kinda like working on my Mini !
