[Vwdiesel] Terminal 50 / Ignition problems - Solved!!!

It was a bad ignition switch!

I jumped terminals 50 and 30 at the ignition switch
and the starter turned. Turning with the key to the
start position did nothing.

The switch was bad. I replaced it with a spare and now
all is well.

The PO had installed a bypass switch not bothering to
find or correct the real problem.

For those who don't already know. When the key is
turned to the start position the ignition switch
connects terminals 30 and 50 and viola the starter
solenoid kicks in and the starter turns.
