[Vwdiesel] Head gaskets

My experience is limited to 4 or 5  gasket changes, and the latest, on my
beloved goldie, (87 Jettta with 82TD vw reman engine) I went with the 3 notch.

The previous 2 notch had burned or blown right through the metal ring that
surrounds the cylinder. It had been eroded, corroded, whatever, and there
was a crack around 3" of the edge exposed to the fire.

My reasoning was less stress on the engine, gasket, and everything else.  
I can not see any difference in cold winter starting, and it gets cold here.

Also supect the sightly lower compression may enhance the clean burning of
the canola oil.

Always starts on the first stroke.
