[Vwdiesel] EGT hookup

Forgot to put this in with my last e-mail.  I hooked up an EGT gage and when
I turn the key on, the EGT gage needle pegs out to max EGT.  I hooked it up
per the instructions,  Pink wire to pink temp probe, blue wire to blue temp
probe wire, Black to vehicle ground, Red to a switched power, which I found
on the fuse block, and the yellow wire to a constant 12 volts which I
grabbed from the cigarette lighter.  It would be just my luck to have a bad
gage.
