I digress... Forgot all about the Vanagon!
I remember reading way back when in a major car magazine (memory is not
THAT good) that the 924 was originally designed to be next VW Sirocco,
but VW backed out of the deal at the last minute. Porsche rebadged it as
the 924 and here we are.
So maybe parts are more interchangeable than I was led to believe.
