 Dad had similar problem with his Golf and Passat TDI's.  In his 
case he leaves the keys in the car.  When you do that without 
pulling it out and putting it back in, something/several things 
stay on and it really drains the battery.  He got in the habbit 
of popping the key out and back or pulling it and setting it on the 
console.  It still goes dead in a week or two but without doing 
that it was a matter of a couple days or so.
