it starts and dies.  The last time I ran it, it ran fine, now it  
starts and dies.  I can't believe it.  Why can't this damn thing just  
work?!

So I hooked up the tachometer bits again, and they seem to work.  What  
happens is the car starts and runs as long as you keep your foot on  
the gas.  It smokes like mad for awhile, then dies.  You can  
immediately restart, but it does the same thing, over and over.  It  
feels like the timing is off, but I set the stupid timing the last  
time I had it apart  Stupid car.

After my garage filled up with smoke, I decided to call it a night and  
come bellyache on the internet.  I'll recheck the stupid timing again  
and see what it's at the next time I go out there.
