Well, not so stupid really.  Machinists have divided inches into tenths for
years, so that's no worries. Land is surveyed in Miles.  You try giving
directions to a stranger in the country when all the odometers are in
kilometers, but the crossroads and landmarks are ONE MILE apart. It is what
it is.

Have a look at your indicator, figure out what it reads in.
