  Didn't you install an electric fuel pump to feed the input side of the 
injection pump?

  I'd suggest removing the electric fuel pump.  I doubt that the 
electric fuel pump was designed to have suction on it's output side, and 
the injection pump was not intended to have pressure on it's input side.
