[Vwdiesel] VW turbo recall

Some of the cars I've fixed the owners tell me they used Syntec or Mobil 1
and still had sludge issues. I know about two years ago standards changed
and they were dropped from the "true" synthetics list, but they are still a
LOT better than conventional oil. I don't think Synthetic alone will cure
the problem.

I'ts a combination of regular oil changes (probably in the 5000 mile range)
combined with proper cooldown, and I'd be sending mine in for analysis every
now and then as well. I'd also be running the bigger filter as mentioned.
