Congrats on joining the S4 ranks.  Re the chip, and your wife having to
deal with the extra power, I read an article on AudiWord Project Cars
(http://www.audiworld.com/features/projectcars.html) about an APR chip
that allows for the the extra boost to be turned off via the stalk:

I've been thinking about going the same way myself, but I don't have
metrics on performance for this chip yet.
