Howdy Audinauts

I have a pretty simple problem I hope. I noticed my 1990 A90 has been havi=
ng trouble starting recently and smelled whiff of petro now and again on th=
e outside of the car after parking. Also - my fuel consumption has increas=
ed. You KNOW where this is going I am sure.

Went out today and started it. Had to get out for a few minutes and when I=
came back I noticed not a drip but a STREAM of fuel coming from the genera=
l area of the new fuel pump.

The local guy says this is a specialized high pressure fuel line stamped to=
the regular copper lines - they may make a kit to repair it - otherewise I=
will need all new fuel lines. OUCH. Im sure the dealer is rubbing its ha=
nds together in eager anticipation for that wad of dough.

My question is - Does anyone have a source for a repair kit for this? I re=
fuse to drive the vehicle at all while in the condition so hopefully somepl=
ace that will ship direct to me. Also - should I pull the battery off the =
car? Once the car sits a few minutes the fuel in the lines apparently runs=
out on the ground and is no longer up in the motor at all. Im assuming it=
stops dripping since it is on the engine side of the fuel delivery system

ANY btdt's welcome. Was planning on taking the car on a road trip this com=
ing weekend but am thinking maybe I should buy or rent another car till thi=
s one is ready to roll - ALL rubber hoses be GONE!!! New ones shall adorn h=
er.

Thanks in advance for all the help.
