You were in my junk folder… I’m also still nutty enough to own Audis - I just recently got a 2014 Q7 TDI which is awesome. I am pulling my R-Pod trailer with it. The diesel is an amazing motor. I also still have my allroad, and it is doing OK, but I think I am going to overhaul the transmission pretty soon. Ricky, on your radio, if the radio display is actually black then I believe it is toast. The LCD has delaminated or something like that. All you can do is replace it, which is probably not possible. I found a Blaupunkt radio that worked for me. It had bluetooth and all the other modern goodies and wasn’t too ugly. I had to impedance match the amplifiers (assuming you still have yours?) which wasn’t too hard, and it sounded really good. Come to think of it, I might still have some 3.6L parts laying around. Like a dipstick, distributors, MAF. I have been cleaning out junk from the garage to no guarantees but if any of that sounds interesting let me know. Still subscribed. I haven't owned an Audi in years, since I got rid of my A4 Avant and got a V8 Avant made by Jeep - a Grand Cherokee. 170K miles and minimal maintenance, unlike the $1500/year to get my Audi to pass state safety inspection.
