I've had great results running >2 BAR with the IA Stage II
on the '85 ur-Q, with 93 octane fuel, over 182K miles on
the original engine, head never been off, etc. If I run only
91 octane I do get knock reported by the MSD knock
sensor and I have to dial back the boost a tad. With the
MSD knock display I can really tell the diff between 1-2
octane points on the fuel. I have about 100K miles with
the IA mod and increased boost.
This brings up the question of MSD, the ignition product.
Multiple Sparc Discharge ignition, which uses a capacitive
discharge pulse string. Are you or anyone else running an
MSD ignition product?
