Compatability (and I am back)

I am back on the list after a brief absence. I have been struggling with
continued Audi ownership, but I am trying to see where these questions lead
me.

I don't own either car yet, but would the motor, cluctch, and 5spd tranny,
from an 86 GT coupe, fit into a 87 4ksq? Or does the Q drive train demand a
more exacting donor from another quattro?  Would the ECU be compatable?.  I
don't have a lot of mechanical or electrical knowledge.
