Before you start tearing out bushings, it might be a
good idea to check the upper strut mounts. I bought an '83 5K off a guy
for $200 because it was doing the same thing you describe. The bushings were
cracked and I was about to replace them but noticed there was a ton of movement
in the upper mount on one side. It cost me $17 to replace it and now it drives
