<< Bravo on your speedo fix! I too am reluctant to crack it open, but would
like to resolve the problem. Can you give a detailed account of how you did
i will give you a quick account. if you need more detail just let me know.
removed display cluster - 4 screws in dash hold the dash cover. 2 screws mount
a couple of plugs come out of the back as well as the speedo cable.
8 phillips head hex shaped screws come out of the bach frame of the cluster.
carefully lay it face up on a table taking care not to disturb wire etched
remove speedo needle - this was the hardest part - careful - don't break it
i got a screwdriver under the base & gently pried it off.
remove 2 small black screws from speedo face.
now you see inside. locate your problrm, not sure what it is - mine was bar
holding number wheels slipped out of place.
IF YOU CAN FIND YOUR PROBLEM WITHOUT REMOVING SPEEDO NEEDLE & FACE, YOU'RE
PROBABLY BETTER OFF.
