It also eases resetting the service interval indicator when changing the
oil. Never mind the ability to see into more than the blink codes can. I
have one, and have used it on my 2000 S4 (since traded in) and my 1995.5 S6
Avant, and plan on using it on my 2002 VW Eurovan. As you cycle thru Audis
(can you say S6 or RS6 when they come off lease?), it continues to please.
Mine only cost $99, did it increase in price?

While it's not a MUST, if I had a laptop lying around,
I would definitely purchase the software, this way I
can do away with my ever-so-hi-tech paper clip used to
trip the codes, Gestapo billboard to tally the codes
blinked out and general ease of pulling codes by
clicking instead of the old-school method. Quite a
few of my friends do have them, so I just bug em for
