[urq] Brake Pad Wear Warning Light

This sounds nothing like the brake pad wear indicator. Sounds like
you have a low fluid condition in either in the hydraulic assist
system (for power steering and brake booster/bomb) or low brake fluid
level at the brake master reservoir. Check levels and / or broken
wires to the sending units if levels check out.

If I am mistaken, then I suppose you could have the brake pad
indicator shorted out (via grounding) and that connection has broken/
corroded during the winter months. I would check again to make sure
you know what that symbol refers to in your book. I was under the
impression that the pad indicator warning was different in your car.
