I think about 90% of 100/200 out there had this problem. VAG even issued
a TSB on this subject.

Naah! Just strip to the bare Cu about 5mm of the track on both sides of
the crack, pre-tin it and solder onto it a single strand unwowen from a
multistrand low gauge wire.

DO NOT try to just slam a droplet of solder onto the crack, won't work.
