I've got a problem with my alternator.
1) After starting the car, the voltmeter only reads 12V. Once the RPM goes
above 2k, it jumps up to normal range.
2) Sometimes (let's say 20% of the time) when I start the car the battery
and brake light are on dimly, then go out once I drive a bit.
So, I had read that symptom 1 could be a bad voltage regulator, so I
replaced it. Same problem. Or a loose wire. Didn't find any. Anyone have any
other guesses? Battery seems to be fine.
