Thanks list members, I was advised to find the single wire sensor on the heat shield near the waste gate. Disconnect the wire and hold to ground and fan should start turning. It did not, but I did see some sparks coming of the wire, which told me that the problem was in the fan motor. Pulled the motor assembly out, which was very easily done by, disconnecting the switch and unscrewing the two screws, that hold the two straps down. I took the plastic motor cover of ,and found that one set of carbon brushes was all twisted and melted in surrounding plastic. Now I am looking for an other motor ,new or used , may be I could find a similar motor ,that I could fit the assembly, at Grainger? Thanks, Martin 86 5KCSQ 170K
