a6 tranny prob

I once broke an outer cv joint on my non turbo 5k. Same symptom. It
happened to be on a turn left from a stop at full throttle.

The shaft just kept spinning and the innards of the broken outer joint
looked like most sheet metal after a 60 + mph accident. Still don't know
what happened. I figure the angle of the inner cage from steering
input+suspension angle+deflection under (no) power pushed a ball a little
far and the rest was a chain reaction. 

The balls went flying and rooled down the hill. I actually think that they
were good balls (while we're on the balls topic from previous posts) and
in hindsight, I should've retrieved them.
